Born in 1998 in Kigali, Rwanda, my artistic journey began in my childhood bedroom, where I transformed emotions into drawings, heartfelt writings, and handcrafted birthday gifts for friends. At 17, I pursued my passion formally at Ecole d’Art de Nyundo, Rwanda’s only art school, earning a diploma in Graphic Art. I immersed myself in diverse art forms and discovered a deep passion for performing arts, particularly spoken word poetry and theatre.
After graduation, I joined Ishyo Arts Center, where I deepened my love for theatre. I have performed in productions such as Children of Amazi, which was featured in international festivals like Journées Théâtrales de Carthage (Tunisia, 2019) and Transkontinentale Festival at the Humboldt Forum (Berlin, 2024). My work extends into film, with my first screen performance in Memento Mori by Ines Girihirwe, which was selected for the 10th Mashariki African Film Festival. Additionally, I co-authored The Sun, The Moon, and The Truth during a residency by Afriart Gallery in Uganda.
With seven years of post-art school experience, I have explored diverse artistic mediums including painting, writing, spoken word poetry, and acting in theatre and film. While I continue to practice all these art forms, my primary focus is acting and writing, with a commitment to continuous growth and improvement.
